An add-on for Overgrad customers
A curriculum for the part of readiness that is not academic
500+ lessons on purpose, durable skills, and wellbeing, K through 12, built around the same student data your counselors already use.
Lessons that fit the time you already have
Roughly 25 minutes each, taught in advisory, a core class, or counseling.
The lessons use each student's own plan.
nXu is delivered through Overgrad, so a lesson on pathways can draw on the college list, the career a student is following, and the plan their counselor is already working from. Educators adapt the content to their students.
What students work on
Purpose & Direction
Values, motivations, and how a student wants to contribute.
Durable Skills
Communication, collaboration, critical thinking, self-management.
Wellbeing & Agency
The habits and mindsets behind confidence and resilience.
Pathway Connections
Classroom learning tied to strengths, interests, and what comes next.
And a way to see whether it worked
One end-of-experience survey, not a testing calendar
Students reflect on how they have grown, in a single retrospective survey built into Overgrad. Results sit beside your advising and postsecondary data, so program impact and student outcomes are read together.
- Purpose and future direction, durable skills, wellbeing, and college and career readiness
- Built with Transcend Education, the Search Institute, and researcher Heather Malin
- Results read alongside the rest of your Overgrad reporting
What nXu's evaluations report
Figures are nXu's own program evaluations, including a 2021–22 IRB study at a New York City public high school. See nXu's outcomes for the underlying reports.
nXu is an add-on. It can be added to Access or to Access + Success, and it is bundled at the lowest combined rate in Complete. New York districts can also see how it maps to the NYS Portrait of a Graduate, lesson by lesson.
